Welcome to the website Are the Mounatins Out! A weather centric website for the outdoor lover.

Living in Seattle with no view of the mountains, I'm always curious if the mountains are out! Compound that curousity with my interest in the outdoors and weather, I made this little website to help with all those needs. The website has webcams and weather reports of all the mountains around areas with a major outdoor scene.

I have just released this site and is a side project of mine so I'll try to improve the site as fast as I can.

Site Features

Mountain Passes and areas

I've tried to curate areas that are known for their outdoor activity. For example, with Seattle I have city itself and the surrounding main mountain areas the majority of the city visits. Those areas are Stevens Pass, Snoqualmie Pass, and Crystal area. In general, I try to stay local, but if that doesn't seem to fit well, I will look for areas that seem useful to the outdoor enthusiasts that live in that city.

Webcams

This site aims to provide webcams that help create a picture of what that area is like, from weather to traffic. Webcams do go down or change, so there will be a continual effort to make sure the best available webcams are being used for that area.

Current Weather

Using weather API's, Are the Mounatins Out is providing the latest weather. I attempted to give you as much information as possible with the current API's that are in use.

Weather Forecasts

With current weather, we are also providing weather forecasts. Are the Mounatins Out gives hourly and daily forecasts.
